We're pretty excited about a 12th century city that's pastimes include staring into people's houses from the fortified city walls. George Bernard Shaw said Dubrovnik was "Paradise on Earth". Amy likes George Bernard Shaw, but isn't quite sure about the cuisine--seeing as the local food includes liginji which is fried squid, pasticada which is stuffed roast beef, and cevapcici which is spiced meat balls--oh well, all the more for Jeremy!
Dubrovnik is like the Croatian version of Venice, except without the canals. Just like Venice, no cars are allowed in the city. There are tons of beautiful beaches and a breathtaking view of the Adriatic.
Here's to spending the entire day with Amy hoping that Jeremy can get the smell of pasticada off of his breath. Maybe a glass of Travarica will do the trick--anything with the nickname "Dubrovnik Firewater" has to kill of that good ol' squid bacteria.
Ciao,
A & J
